HPV or human papillomavirus is a fairly
common virus that affects both males and
females. Some of the subtypes have been
determined to cause cervical cancer or
abnormal cells in the cervix that later can
develop into cancer. We offer Gardasil, a
vaccine that helps protect women against the
risk of developing some diseases caused by
HPV. These diseases would include genital
warts, abnormal or precancerous vulvar
lesions, vaginal lesions and cervical
lesions, and, most importantly, cervical
cancer. Gardasil can be administered to
females from age 9 through 26 years of age,
and is given in 3 doses. For more
information, please speak with a member of
our team.
